moumou (alkiviades petrides) started his journey in 2023 posting his first mix to his youtube channel called “moumou records”. A multi genre producer and DJ located in Denver, he started making rap beats in college during the days of covid, then transitioned to electronic music due to the excess of the music scene.  He started his own label called “5fingerdiscount” to cultivate his sound of crate digging and takes inspiration from revolutionary beat makers. The label's inspiration came from the idea of sampling old tracks and releasing them “under the radar” and keeping older tracks alive. Moumou figured that if AI can steal the music of others, musicians should be allowed to sample freely.  After becoming obsessed in the creative realm, he wishes to find his cult-like audience that follows him every step of the way and in return wishes to curate the best sounds for his audience.
